This course is designed for staff who work with people and families affected by dementia in the continuing care sector. The continuing care sector includes home care, independent living, assisted living and long-term care.
This course is intended to address the cultural aspects of dementia care. As a pre-requisite, we recommend participants gain a basic understanding of dementia before starting the course. Please refer to the resources in the Before you begin lesson for essential information on the basics of dementia.
